Rep. Rouda Statement on Reopening of California Nail Salons

LAGUNA BEACH, CA -- Congressman Harley Rouda (CA-48) issued the following statement regarding Governor Gavin Newsom's decision to allow nail salons and other personal care services to reopen on June 19, 2020.

"I thank the Governor for releasing industry guidance and enabling nail salons to reopen next week,” said Rouda. “California manicurists, nearly three-quarters of whom are Vietnamese-Americans, deserve the same clarity and allowances as other personal care industries. I will continue working with Orange County business leaders and the Governor's team to ensure nail salons provide a safe and clean environment for workers and customers."
