Rep. Rouda Announces 2020 Service Academy Appointments
LAGUNA BEACH, CA – Today, Congressman Harley Rouda (CA-48) announced 19 coastal Orange County student appointments to United States Service Academies. The selected students were nominated by Rep. Rouda and advanced through the rigorous Service Academy application process.
"It was an honor and a privilege to nominate the next generation of leaders to United States Service Academies," said Rouda. "I am inspired to see young Americans from all walks of life pursue this brave path of sacrifice and service to our nation. This year's students are driven, thoughtful, diligent, and talented members of Orange County — a testament to our community's strength and support."

The honor of attending a United States Service Academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. Appointed students will join their respective academy's Class of 2024.
